Namak Pare Recipe
The next festival in line is Holi. The festival of colors but is it so. I think along with colors Holi is about tasty snacks and sweets. Sweets are a part of every festival they are a must on the menu. But when I plan my Holi I menu I even add some salty, crunchy snacks even to it. The reason behind sweets is best complimented with some salty snacks.
In India, there are many snacking options for festivals. One such snack that I love to serve is Nimki or Namak pare. The snack is salty and tasty. My family loves to eat the crispy Namak pare or Namak para along with the Holi sweets.

Crispy Namak Pare Recipe or Nimki Recipe for Holi Snacks
Ingredients
- 1 cup All Purpose Flour Maida
- 1 tsp Ajwain Seeds
- 1/2 tsp red chilli powder
- 1/4 cup Oil
- Salt to taste
- Cooking oil for frying
Instructions
- Add All-purpose flour, salt, ajwain, oil in a bowl and use water to knead a dough use sufficient oil so that it holds it's shape in fist
- Roll it thin and cut into diamond shape or square shape or any desired shape
- heat the oil and deep fry them on medium flame
- Once they turn golden brown, take them out and allow them to cool completely
- Store in an airtight box and enjoy with tea
