We all have fussy eaters in the family, be it our kids or grown ups at home. Especially the kids, it’s funny how they come up with such innovative and interesting excuses each time there isn’t something exciting on the menu. Every mom will have a list of items that their kids do not like to eat and how mommies keep experimenting in the kitchen to give these ordinary dishes an interesting twist. And recently, I had a chance to learn a trick or two that will help me make our everyday snacks a little exciting for our kids, and for the adults too!

I was recently invited by Hershey’s India for an event in Mumbai. Hershey’s products are a hit, be it their choco spread, cocoa powder or the flavoured syrups. I had watched a few episodes of Hershey’s ‘MeetheBahane’ cooking series by Chef Ranveer Brar. In the series, the chef talks about the sweet and naughty ‘bahanas’ kids come up with to ditch our ordinary food. Ranveer Brar has been re-creating the regular recipes by giving them an exciting new twist using Hershey’s products. I was really excited to meet one of the best chefs of the nation, to learn from him, and to dive deeper into HERSHEY’S ‘MeetheBahane’.

At the event, Chef Ranveer Brar shared with us the excuses his little one makes every time there’s a snack that doesn’t delight his taste buds. And that’s how Chef Brar came up with tempting new twists.
My Takings? A pink coloured strawberry Flavoured Emoji Idli or a Superhero Paratha will always invite the kids!
Along with this, we also got a chance to participate in a fun cook-off challenge in which we had to come up with interesting recipes using HERSHEY’S Flavoured Syrups as an ingredient and not a topping.

HERSHEY’S Flavoured Syrups mostly have been used in milkshakes or as a topping on our ice-creams. We never really thought about using these flavoured syrups beyond that, until now.

Recipe to ‘HERSHEY’S No-Bake Choco Fruits Tart’

The tarts are made using digestive biscuits – Oats and Almonds. The tarts can be baked for a firm texture, or you can keep it chewy if that’s how you like it. I filled the tarts with fresh fruit cream cheese sweetened with HERSHEY’S Strawberry Flavoured Syrup. Preparation time is about 2-3 hours. You can change the filling as per your preference and voila! Your delicious HERSHEY’S No-Bake Choco Fruits Tarts are ready.

If you’ve tried, do share it across your social handles, and don’t forget to tag me!

Thank You @HersheysIndia for inviting me to be a part of the #MeetheBahane Event, Mumbai.
