How to make Tandoori Chicken in Microwave Convection Oven
Tandoori Chicken – The name itself is enough to make any Indian chicken lover drool. The perfectly roasted flavorful chicken which is marinated in Indian spices. Instructions
  1. Take chicken in a bowl, make deep slits on them.
  2. In a bowl add yogurt and all the ingredients mentioned above.
  3. Add the chicken pieces in the mixture and mix welll so that mixture coats the chicken pieces well.
  4. Leave this to marinate for 6 hours or over night.
  5. Preheat the microwave oven.
  6. Place the chicken over a foil-lined the baking tray. Set the microwave to the convection setting. Set the temperature to 220 degrees or the highest temperature. Place the tray and bake for 5 minutes. After that remove it and flip over. Apply butter or ghee(optional) and any leftover marination.
  7. Now reduce the oven temp to 180 degrees C and bake it for 15 more mins. Take it out, flip over and apply butter/ ghee over it (optional) and bake it for 15 more mins.
  8. Check if the Chicken is cooked as per your desire. Else cook it for more time but keep checking in between.
  9. Now set the microwave on grill mode. Place the tray on the high rack and cook it for 5 mins till you get some char or black spots over the chicken.
  10. Remove it from the oven. Serve immediately.
  11. Sprinkle some chaat masala, chopped green coriander leaves and serve it with salad/onion rings and mint, green coriander chutney.

Recipe Notes

Use fresh Chicken as it will taste better.

Use freshly prepared ginger garlic paste instead of the readymade one.

Adjust the time of the oven as it might differ on temperature of your microwave oven.
